Welcome to my Fine Art Pencil Pet Portrait Page. I am a professionally trained artist in life drawing and watercolor panting. I studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. I have spent most of my professional career as graphic designer for the last 30 years owning my own graphic design studio catering to professional corporations designing literature, high end photography and web design. I have never stopped my practice of the fine art, and still to this day, I am thrilled with the outcome of every commissioned piece of art – commercial to fine.

I have been drawing with pencil in this medium since I have been a child. I think I always drew this way. So much that I was excluded out of art competitions in elementary school so others could win. To this day I still love what the pencil can do to reveal the true essence of the subject matter.

Pet portraits are great for any occasion – birthdays, anniversary, wedding or Christmas gifts – of just a great keepsake for the family.

The best portrait photos make for the best drawings. Please send super clear hi-resolution photos when you can. Multiple photos can be sent so we can pick the best for success. If your pet has passed away, send multiple pictures as well so we can capture their true essence.

Please send photos as attachments or I can send you a dropbox link for you to upload your collection.

A $200 deposit is required to save a space on my commission list. The rest will be paid at the starting point. All payments will be paid by credit card upon invoicing.

Remainder will be due upon starting commissioned portrait. I will update you on the progress and send a photograph of the progress to date so you can see for yourself the joy of creating this piece of art.

You will receive your final portrait in 1 to 3 weeks depending on size and how busy I am at the time. Your artwork will be carefully packaged in a special box.
